Taking Woodstock? – ’scuse me while I kiss the sky…

Happy Weekend All,

No matter who you are or what age you are, no doubt you’ve heard about…

WOODSTOCK!

…but looking back now, we realize what a time it was and how
Woodstock was almost a symbol of the end of one era (1969) and
the beginning of another (the 70’s).

Remembering – Jimi Hendrix’s Purple Haze:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIvs4j4IniA

I was REALLY young, of course , when the original Woodstock concert took place 40 years ago this week, but I distincly remember that I’d wished I was older so I could have been there experiencing the music and making history. hehe

I’m not much for wollowing in the mud, but the Vietnam Era music
will always hold a special place in my heart, as I’m sure it will
for many fellow Baby Boomers. :)

So, now we have a second movie, “Taking Woodstock” coming out in less than two weeks – Will you be watching? (See trailer below)

It’s hard to believe I’m back at the blog already, but I wanted
to rattle on about Woodstock, finding it hard to believe at times
that it was 40 years ago, and also realizing how times were just
so different then for young people that had the world on a string
and felt there was nothing to stand in their (our) way as we made
our way to the 70’s.

I thought I’d share a few clips today for the younger crown to
hopfully enjoy, (okay, and a couple of you older folk too). ;)

A Day In History – August 15th held MANY significant happenings
including the premier of the Wizard Of Oz? – Wow! Take a look:

Here’s a few more YouTube clips I thought you might enjoy and take some of you back – to the future?

Those dang hippies!

Did we like to have fun back in the day or what? lol

(Caution: language)

There’s no music to enjoy on this one, but the “uncut” version
of concert footage is something to behold. :)

1969 will always be a year “that was” for me for many reasons,
of course I can BARELY remember what they were… but not
for the reason you might think. Heck I didn’t even know that drugs really existed until after I’d left home and gotten married.

I just love walking down memory lane at times. :)

So, I hope this finds all of you getting a great weekend started
and enjoying something you like to do.

With computers all in working order here, I feel like I’ve got
almost nothing to do – but we know THAT’s not true!

We’ve got some great goodies posted on the Wacky Weekly blog this week, so scoot over and take a look. The Weekend Sale is still
going up in price and will be the rest of the weekend, so don’t
forget to see if some hot affiliate tips can do you some good for
less than a burger.

There are also three turnkey sites with awesome graphics that I
was able to squeeze a special price for the weekend for everybody,
but again, it goes up on Monday. (see # ). These are selling
elsewhere for $27 and $37 and today you can pick them up for
less than TEN BUCKS.

I hope you enjoyed the clips, now boogie over to the blog before
you forget. :)

Does Your Computer Talk To You?

Now don’t fall out of your chair because I posted this to the blog. hehe

As much as I would love to come here more often, it’s one of those things like exercising. It takes forever to get started and stay with it, but the rewards and feelings afterward are great!

So, here’s my “Public Service” Announcement…

As you probably already know by now, I just “lost” about three weeks of production recovering from what we now refer to as the “hijacked computer” incident. :)

We don’t actually know for sure if my computer was one of the 55,000 used in the July 4th government cyber attack or not, but that weekend resulted in my losing my WHOLE machine’s admin access, programs and all.

It simply laid down and told me (after hours of mind numbing attempts to try everything under the sun) “You will NOT access the Internet, you do NOT get admin access, I am NOT going to reformat, and can NOT pass go!” :)

And yet, there was that sliver of silver lining (hanging by it’s last thread, mind you) and the GOOD NEWS is that I’d gotten pretty good over the past several years at doing regular backups (having been burned many times before) on both my own computers, but also on server files (something many of you forget about, I bet).

I’ve come to simply LOVE portable harddrives. Portable harddrives are my friends – and they should be yours too!

In fact, with all the back to school sales going on, I’ve noticed that you can get a whole TERABYTE (that’s 1,000 gigabytes) for what a 350G cost less than a year ago.

It’s simply too dangerous, maybe even irresponsible to NOT have a portable backup of all your data – especially if you’re running your own business.

Sure, I still lost lots of time, and the programs, even some files, but the damage could have been soooo much worse had I not been backing up and using additional drives for all my data.

But I didn’t come here to chastise you for not backing up your data regularly (but sternly shaking my finger at you!) but wanting to encourage you to be PROACTIVE – you just never know when you’ll need the additional “insurance” that can give you the added assurance. ;)

What I really was excited about getting to you was a special link to get you BACK inside the door on this opportunity:

http://launchalerts.com/likes/wso

You may remember I told you about a new unique webmaster automation “tool” that was released recently, and many of you took advantage of the prelaunch special before the price increased.

Richard and Greg are running a special offer at the Warrior Forum and they’ve graciously allowed me to send you to their WSO (Warrior Special Offer) so you can grab it at the same low launch price:

http://launchalerts.com/likes/wso

What that means to you, is that you now have another opportunity to save some big bucks on this automation “swiss knife” web tool that is getting rave reviews from every corner.

You see, it does redirect your links, but oh my, it does so much more than that, that had it been me, I certainly would have called it something else. :) …like, a “web wizard/genie/brain” or something else to do more justice to it’s capabilities. :)

Nonetheless, NOW is another opportunity to go inside and pick this up at the original launch price.

I really don’t know how long the price is good for, so you can’t say I didn’t warn you if it suddenly disappears.

http://launchalerts.com/likes/wso

So since I have no idea how long this will last at this price, if you can afford it now, we suggest you put it to work for you while you can and at the lowest possible price.

Of course I can’t check in without having you check out our totally WACKY sale this week. It’s so cheap, we’re almost giving it away!

Have a great weekend ahead and I’ll see you again with more tools, resources, and best of all bargains, to help you with your business basics.

I came across a really awesome “business plan” last night but want to have the opportunity to check things out more before I pass it along to you. :)

All My Best To Your success,

Kathe, back at THE BLOG :)
